A roof that clears the sky

Retractable Louvered Pergola with a Fully Opening Roof

Unlike a standard louvered pergola, which only tilts its blades, this motorized retractable louvered pergola folds the blades together at one end after they rotate. Open the roof fully for a wider view of the sky, more natural light and a more open, flexible outdoor living experience.

How the roof moves

Adjustable louvers tilt. Retractable blades move clear of the roof.

Unlike a standard adjustable louvered roof, a retractable louvered roof moves the blades off the roof area. They stack at one end, leaving the opening clear.

01 · CLOSED

Close for cover

The blades sit across the roof. Confirm drainage and weather performance for the chosen design and site.

02 · TILTED

Adjust the light

Change the blade angle to let in more sun or create more shade and airflow.

03 · RETRACTED

Open the roof

The blades slide together at one end, leaving the full roof area open to the sky.

Plan the configuration

Leave room for the blades to retract.

Send the overall size, the opening you need and photos of nearby walls or beams. We’ll check where the blades can stack, how they travel and where rainwater drains.

Plan a retractable pergola roof

Check the open position before settling the layout.

The usable opening depends on the blade stack, nearby structure and drainage path. We check these details with the site dimensions and local wind or snow requirements.

OPEN POSITION

Clear area

Agree on how much of the roof should be open when the blades are fully retracted.

STACK ZONE

Blade clearance

Make sure beams, walls and lights do not block the blades as they gather at one end.

WEATHER

Drainage and anchoring

Check the roof drainage and attachment against the conditions at the installation site.
